Driver Tips and Hints
Here are some hints to help make your job easier...If you have some, please let me know!
A/C Not seeming cool? Try this first!
I was recently on a trip, and I remembered hearing somone talking about kids jamming stuff in the AC Vents on the bus. I decided to take a peek. Armed with my trust needle nose pliers and a trash bag, I began opening the windows by using the emergency exits latches.
I was truly amazed at what I found in there...Bubble gum, skittles, wrappers of all kinds, stale pretzels and cheetos, and worst of all...a condom. It also seemed that the further back I went, the worse it was.
After a easy half hour of minor surgery, The A/C seemed to be working more efficiently. Cooled all the way down to 63 on a 96 degree day. Not too shabby!
Also, if you have the overhead parcel rack A/C, like my DL3 has, keep a eye on the motor brushes. They seem to wear pretty fast, then the motors simply slow down. Again, not working at their best. These brushes are very easy to replace.
